Job Hamming

 

Before my partners and I created Probanco, I filled various management positions with various banks since 1991. From 1997 to 2002, I was a Private Relations manager with the Friesland bank, regional office Drenthe. After that, I was a manager Consumers at the Rabobank from 2002 to 2005.

During these functions, I had the opportunity to develop my management skills and acquire a lot of experience with project management, process improvement and supervising large groups. This provided me with a lot of insight in how organizations translate mission and strategy to operational implementation, and the changes involved for the people in these organisations.

Furthermore, this work experience has enabled me to analyse quickly and has given me the guts to come up with solutions that may lie outside the conventional paths. This connects seamlessly with the Probanco vision. 
 
With Probanco, I carry out many projects on the intersection of business and ICT. More and more frequently, I am responsible for projects in which change management and process improvement play an important role and in which I am expected to fulfill a coaching role.

For example, with ViaFeria, I was the program manager for 11 subprojects, and with Topicus I was the program manager for the construction and implementation of a service platform at Quion. In addition, I broadened my scope with projects for Zorggroep Meander (care institution).

What I enjoy the most, is thinking about strategy as a sparring partner of management and subsequently receiving the space to carry out this strategy together with the employees. I like to put my shoulder to the wheel together with the people in the organisation, because they have the knowledge that is needed to implement sustainable improvements.
